西貢水浪窩密林中有一座被藤蔓纏繞的神秘石堡，仿似宮崎駿筆下的「天空之城」，亦有墨西哥瑪雅古塔的味道。
原來這是一個「觀星台」，用麻石砌成的 6米高梯形石塔，周邊有石梯上頂，仿照中國河南登封縣告成鎮古代觀星台建成，晚間在這裏可在無光害環境觀星。
In the dense forest of Shui Long Wo in Sai Kung, there is a mysterious stone fort entangled by vines. It resembles Hayao Miyazaki’s “Castle in the Sky”, and it also looks like an ancient Mayan pyramid of Mexico.
It turned out to be a “astronomical observatory”, a 6-metre-high trapezoidal stone tower made of granite, surrounded by stone stairs that access the top. It was modelled after the ancient astronomical observatory in Gaocheng Town, Dengfeng County, Henan, China. Star gazing here at night is perfect as there is no light pollution.
