An avid urban explorer ventures into a deserted curved-corner Tong Lau (Chinese Tenement house).
It is a pre-war Tong Lau built in 1943 and is now one of the three remaining curved-corner tenement houses in Hong Kong. As it was sold for redevelopment, the removal of the windows on the second floor has ironically restored its historical look. It has not been graded as a historic building and part of Hong Kong’s heritage will be vanishing with its demolition.
Urban exploration is based on the principles of take nothing except picture, leave no trace and not revealing the location.
