2020年5月25日,黑人佐治·弗洛伊德(George Floyd)在美國明尼阿波利斯市被殺。他被壓在白人警官 Derek Chauvin 的膝蓋下,被戴上手銬時被打死,當時他喘着氣說:「拜託,我不能呼吸。」Chauvin 被控過失殺人罪。
對弗洛伊德之死的怒潮激起了全美的抗議活動,呼籲結束警察暴力和不公義待遇。

英國、德國、意大利、新西蘭、加拿大等各地成千上萬的人,在全球性的「黑人生命重要 Black Lives Matter」抗議活動中譴責警暴、種族主義並要求伸張公義。
香港6月7日星期日下午1時在美國總領事館將舉行「黑人生命重要」和平抗議。到今天為止,已有500人表示會參加或感興趣。
“Black Lives Matter” Protests Against Police Brutality & Injustice Spread Global
On 25 May 2020, George Floyd, a black man, was killed in Minneapolis, United States while handcuffed with his neck pinned under the knee of a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, as he gasped, “Please, I can’t breathe.”
Manslaughter charges have been brought against Derek Chauvin.
Anger over Floyd’s death has bubbled over into protests across the US calling for an end to police brutality and injustice.
According to a twit with video by Wei Quanbo (@awei3742), <https://twitter.com/awei3742/status/1267635184838590465?s=21> “On 1 Jun 2020, the police in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, arrested 3 Chinese-speaking Chinese students at the riot, who revealed that they were led by the China consulate officials and instructed them to take part and instigate black people smashing and looting riots.”
Thousands across the UK, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, and more condemn racism and demand justice at global Black Lives Matter protests.
A “Black Lives Matter” peaceful protest is scheduled in Hong Kong at the US Consulate General on Sunday, 7 June at 1 pm. 500 are going or interested as of today.
