國務院總理李克強自2013年上任以來首次未在工作報告中提及《基本法》，並表示北京要「建立健全特別行政區維護國家安全的法律制度和執行機制」，等於國安部會在港執法。
泛民立法議員郭榮鏗說：「這是香港的終結，這是一國兩制的終結。」 「中央人民政府已經完全違反了對香港人的承諾……他們正在完全放棄自己的義務。」
特朗普總統告訴記者「沒有人知道」中國計劃的詳情。 「如果發生這種情況，我們將非常有力地應對該問題。」
恒生指數今天下跌近5％，跌幅為1204.25點，至23075點。

Beijing announced plans to push through sweeping national security laws for Hong Kong at its annual session of National People’s Congress (NPC) today, in a move that critics say will effectively end the territory’s autonomy and the “One Country, Two Systems.”
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang omits Basic Law from work report for first time since taking office in 2013 and said Beijing would establish a sound legal system and enforcement mechanism for safeguarding national security in Hong Kong.
“This is the end of Hong Kong. This is the end of One Country Two Systems,” said pro-democracy legislator Dennis Kwok. “Beijing, the Central People’s Government, has completely breached its promise to the Hong Kong people … They are completely walking back on their obligation.”
President Trump told reporters “nobody knows yet” the details of China’s plan. “If it happens we’ll address that issue very strongly.”
Hang Seng Index crashed nearly 5% by 1,204.25 points to 23,075 today.
