警方在十‧一各區衝突中，使用武器數目破盡紀錄，警方在前日共發射約1400發催淚彈、約900發橡膠彈、約190布袋彈、約230海綿彈，並出動水炮車，在四宗事件中開了6槍。共拘捕269人，是反送中運動近四個月以來拘捕人數最多的一天，當中93人是學生，年齡最小者只有12歲。警務處副處長鄧炳強為射擊一名18歲抗議者用實彈射擊辯護，稱該警官按照國際標準「瞄準人體中心」。
當鄧炳強在記者會被問到，警員開真槍近距離打心口，隨時可致命，有無違反警察守則？鄧答：「係咪一定唔可以打死呢？我地亦無可能喺唔打死人嘅情況下，去停止佢嘅活動。」
警方在記者會上公布，周二共拘捕269人，共178男及91女，年齡由12至71歲，當93人為學生，各人涉嫌藏有攻擊性武器、非法集結等，不排除日後加控更多罪名。9.29金鐘衝突中拘捕96人涉嫌參與暴動，共80男及16女，年齡由14至46歲。
