Built in1933-36, the 2-storey mansion blends Chinese and Western styles with stone pillars, sculpted stone walls, wooden gate threshold and moulded concrete railings around the central lightwell on the upper floor.
There is a gate tower, servants’ house, bird feeders in the front garden.
A revitalisation plan was confirmed at the end of 2019. The plan intends to retain its Hakka architectural characteristics, and to restore it with reference to the original design with Chinese and Western styles, for leasing to social enterprises.
