An avid urban explorer ventures into a deserted restaurant in the most upscale district in Hong Kong.

Built in 1947, the restaurant is a single-storey building with a red, pitched roof, reminiscent of an English country cottage. Adding to this impression are the stone walls, arched windows, black and white half-timbering on the gable, and the visible chimney stack. The garden surrounds, with views overlooking the South China Sea, are notable for the old boundary wall, and a wide variety of trees, shrubs and flowers complete the austere, rural appearance.

The restaurant was rated a Grade II historic building in 1981. It was recently closed and tables and chairs inside have been cleared.

Urban exploration is based on the principles of take nothing except picture, leave no trace and not revealing the location.
